Cecero was established in 2006 to create a niche performance monitoring business based on hand held technologies for mission critical workers in high compliance industries.
The main product 'Desktop OA' provides an objective review of individuals and teams deployed in mission critical roles. It offers low cost data capture, compliance and a
meaningful assessment of trends.
This is a multi-platformed project encompassing several separate projects.
Data is collected via a PDA device running Windows Mobile 5.0
The PDA data can be reviewed and non-compliant scores highlighted.
Information is then uploaded to a PC or Laptop where a further set of diagnostic tools are employed to
look at performance trends.

The system then transfers key performance indicators to an online application for remote viewing of these key figures.
The basic concept behind this system which differentiates itself from other data collection and analysing tools is the
use of graphics rather than data entry fields. This enables the process of data collection and performance review to be more intuitive
and efficient.

This adaptable solution originally aimed at the aviation security industry can be utilised for any purpose where the data collected is of an 'inspection' nature.
For example vehicle inspection at security checkpoints, or inspection of a divers equipment prior to going into the water.
Cecero is now exploring pathways into other markets including a collaboration with TFL (Transport for london) in connection
with traffic light junction inspections and the new cycle sharing scheme.
Core Technologies: DHTML, Flash, C#.Net, Silverlight, Javascript, AJAX, Web Services, .Net CE, MySQL

The Empire Test Pilot School operates from Boscombe Down to train aviation aircrew from all over the world in
the skills necessary to become a test pilot for both civil and military operations.
The website incorporates descriptions of the aircraft, instructors, and school and is published under the QinetiQ banner.
The above screenshot is from the original Empire Test Pilot School website. The splash page animation had the Typhoon aircraft zooming across and
up into a loop revealing a trail of the navigation buttons and the four Letters E.T.P.S. which then rearranged themselves into the logo.
The rest of the site was a simple set of linked pages with a menu system that falls into place on each page.
The site has since been rebuilt under the QinetiQ brand and converted to use a content management system and no longer has this splash page.
Core Technologies: HTML, javascript, Flash 4, ASP classic

Big Lion was a project aimed at investment banks to augment their existing trading platforms by providing
additional information relating to financial exchange data communications.
This commision was for a locally hosted web based demonstration of a stand-alone application. The demo was to enable
prospective customers a preview of the product before it had been built in order to guage their interest.

The aim was to replicate a 'desktop program' feel, but was hampered by lack of investment and the project was never completed
to a high standard. In addition to the website a separate c# windows forms application was built to generate fake data feeds for a large number of exchanges with the idea that the Big Lion app would be able to
alert users when there was a break or reduction in the number of messages being received from any particular exchange.
Alert levels could be set and trends monitored in detachable chart pages.
The 'website' used a local installation of MySql to hold the data, and accessed the data using a clientside timed event every second. Moving averages were calculated, and based upon pre-set alert configuration would trigger a DHTML alert message
when specific message levels had been reached. An administration section was built to add/edit exchanges and various parameters in order to approximatate real world behaviour. Silverlight
Visifire charts were used to provide the output in a visual form.
